We had a wonderful 28 days in Bali

August 2007 Hi Suzan, Simon and Julie here. Wayan asked us to send you a quick note about progress at the Swallow House that we visited while we were in Bali a couple of weeks ago – gosh the time flies when you get back home.

The first thing is good news – Wayan has rented the house out for 2 months to a Swiss couple (journalists). We thought writers would be a good market to tap into.

The house is looking extremely comfortable and attractive. Wayan & Putri have the place looking first class and now that one couple is staying, should have more queuing up to stay. We were very impressed by what Wayan has accomplished and look forward to seeing how he is doing each time we visit. Putri is doing her best to learn English – we think she has improved hugely in the last year and has a lot more confidence. The whole family are very well and happy and we enjoyed a few delicious Putri cooked meals with them.

Last we heard, the Swiss couple has been at the house for a couple of weeks and all was going very well – pretty much looking after themselves re meals.

We had a wonderful 28 days in Bali – bit of rest and swimming and a bit of business. We are planning next year already – back in Bali better organised and may even spend a few days at Swallow house – if there is a booking available.
