The Swallow Guest House is a newly built, Balinese traditional style house suitable for writers, artists, or people who want a longer term place to create and relax in the peace and quiet of Bali.

Located 20 minutes NE of Ubud, the cultural and holistic health center of Bali, you will find yourself gazing at Mt. Agung, the volcanic Mother mountain, farmers in their rice fields, and the ocean which is 1 hour away. Both sunrise and sunset are spectacular from the gazebo above the kitchen or from the many outdoor sitting areas scattered around the house and gardens.

There is a small village and market where you can meet the locals and enjoy their countless smiles. As a Hindu race, people are very giving and non-threatening to heighten their karma. They love showing you their culture and sharing the ongoing ceremonies.

Wayan and Putri, the guest service hosts, will make your stay memorable. Wayan, a 15 year experienced English speaking tour guide and driver, can accommodate your needs and questions. If you desire assistance in an island tour for pleasure or business, he can help you arrange the details.

Wayan’s wisdom and knowledge about everything in Bali is unbelievable. Anything you might need he can find for you – rent a car, driver, mobil phones, food, etc. One of the best things for us was driving around with him as he knows everything and can tell you the most interesting and beautiful stories about Bali, the Balinese people and their rich history and traditions. He should be a travel guide. His wife Putri is the best cook on Earth. She prepared delicious breakfast and dinners for us almost every day. She cooks authentic Balinese and Indonesian food with the most organic ingredients you can find.
Trip Advisor Guest Review – Aug 19, 2011)

Putri, his wife, is our Indonesian cook. She creates very delicious dishes using fresh garden vegetables and local produce. Reasonable prices for meals and housekeeping are offered. If you want some cooking lessons, don’t hesitate to ask in exchange for some English practice.
